  SCHOOL VISITS 

School Visits are rewarding and valuable experiences that create the opportunity for educators to observe and learn what a Dual Language Bilingual Education (DLBE) program or school looks like in practice.

School Visits were previously a pre-conference event, but are now being held in Fall annually for ease of scheduling. 

    More than 20 schools and programs across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut opened their doors to over 130 visitors for almost 40 tours on November 2025. 

    General Tours

    • Includes a site tour, a Q&A session, and short, informal visits to multiple classrooms. 
    Spotlight Lesson Demonstrations 
    • Includes a formal classroom visit with pre- and post-observation discussions. This is a NEW professional learning initiative that MABE is piloting this year. All school visits are General Tours until specified to be Spotlight Lesson Demos.
